Thieves now targeting old cars
KLANG: Old cars have become the target of thieves with at least 12 such vehicles stolen in the past week.
Klang district police chief Asst Comm Mohammad Mat Yusop said that the cars, which were more than 20 years old of models including Nissan and Toyota, were reported missing from Kapar, Meru and Klang town almost daily.
“We believe it is the job of the same group of people and they usually steal cars from housing estates and parking areas.
“We are still investigating why there is a sudden rise in old car theft but we suspect that the car parts could be the reason,” he told reporters at his office here yesterday.
The stolen cars were worth about RM2,000 each, he added.

Many reasons :

1. Old car has lower security features. So it's easy to get stolen.
2. Better demand on old car as people getting poorer.
3. Maybe... old car without insurance. So also cannot report to Police.

Anyway, I think it's useless to report to Police..

Penang is getting very interesting. I found this news today from an Singapore website.

"Malaysia, George Town, July 15, 2008:
A durian seller was badly injured when his customer threw the thorny fruit at his face following an argument last Friday. The 61-year-old man suffered cuts on his face and neck following the attack near Jalan Sungai Pinang here about 6.20pm. Northeast district police chief Assistant Commissioner Azam Abdul Hamid said the incident happened after the victim refused to replace a rotten durian which his customer had earlier purchased. He said the customer, frustrated by the victim's refusal, threw the rotten fruit at the latter's face, causing him to collapse. "The victim had no time to evade the durian as it was thrown at him from close range," said Azam, adding that the assailant fled after that. He said the victim was given outpatient treatment at the Penang Hospital."

Consumers Affair - Rapid Bus

Fuel Price is high, so I take a alternative route to cross Penang Bridge with the lowest fair.
Here is how I found out from the local bus company. Then I filed a complaint to the company.

Dear Sirs,

It is regreted to informed that I was taking a bus ride from XXX to XXX on Bus Plate Number PHHXXXX on 1 July 2008, time : 6:00pm to 7:30pm,was horrfic.

I am not the frequent bus passenger for rapid, but I see there are alot of enforcement needed towards the driving ethics of a bus driver.

Let me quote the first case. When taking turn, the bus driver was not slowing causing the standing passengers swaying. I have encounter passenger falling. If there is a old folks that fall due to the driver acts, what will be consequences for the bus company? A good transportation company is suppose to provide the best comfort for it's passengers.

Another case that blew up my mind was the driver keep honk the vehicles infront of him. Either, the front vehicle just pick up the lane or taking a new lane that need to slow down to see if there are cars. That is very normal for the traffic situation. I have no idea why this PHHXXXX driver need to harras road users that share the equal benefits & responsibilities.

It is a must to train up bus driver ethics to provide the best comfort toall users. Ultimately, who is the customers that driving? Stop having this culprits & freak on your company & endangered people on theroad. I will be following up this case until the feedback of proper action hasbeen taken.

Regards
Hi, I am disappointed by the news today...

Two groups of policemen in GEMAS at Negeri Sembilan at the same police station lodge report against each other.

They are fighting against who should be selling the scrapped metals or items to vendor.
Eventually, the losers who didn't get any benefit were not happy filed the report.

Fundamentally, selling your organization's property including scraps also an offence.
Both of them who done this before should be filed as corruption & bribe.

Ah! It Hurts...

This news really disappointed me. Volkswagen was been so keen to setup plant in Malaysia. Now, we just give another RM2.5billion business to Thailand. Thanks for Malaysia being such a good neighbor to Thailand.
