Peaceful Town

If you look at this town, it's consider big already in Germany. But there aren't any tall buildings. No new designs. Just a normal town.

Life here is still very peaceful. Thanks for the former generations that passed down.

Looking the neighborhood.. yea.

Like I said.. tall buildings are not the symbol of modernization.

It can be something else that mean modern.
Yes, who will ever think it's Stuggart, Technology City & home for Mecerdes Benz.

Need For Speed In Autobahn

It almost comes to winter, so it's not good to be in the speed during winter. It would be too dangerous to go for speed. So while the no speed limit still legal, me and Thomas decided to go for special car.
We din get a Porsche, but an Audi. In fact, we were offerred and Porche Cayene (SUV) but we think that it's too big for us. Porscher 911 & Carrera are all rent out that weekend.

So in the morning for speed, I took my navigator seat just to relax and took some photos. Thomas went to enjoy this car.

So even BMW 3 series saw from behind also 'siam' us. But to tell you the truth, BMW 5 series, Audi A6, Volkswagen Passat, Mercedes E class (Export), Porsche are equally fast. These are the top food chain on the road.

Overtaking this Porsche as well. But we believe this Porsche is just have his time.

Thomas is our fastest driver in out Kulim trainee. Before this car, his record id 240km/h with Alfa Romeo. But with this Audi, the broke his own record at 260km/h. We called him Micheal instead of Thomas already.

But speed always comes with a price. Every 2 hours on the road, we need to visit gas station. For full tank (60 euro) this car only can go for 350km with 6th gears.

The back seat is not for passenger, even Sim was thinking to follow us for this trip but it was really too small for a adult or kid. Only for dog.

So finally we are at Stuttgart, home for Mercedes Benz. Too bad, we din get a Mercedes SLR.

The rear has a spoiler lift up when speed reach 100 km/h. The faster to go, the spoiler automatically adjust. Nice car really can turn girls on. Even it is a rental, we easily get impressed by locals & also colleagues from Kulim.

So it's my time for speed. Top speed 240km/h. If you look at the speed meter carefully, you can see it almost reach the end of the limit. This one we are getting is an 2.0 TFSI 200 hp engine. Still not the top grade Audi TT.

So on our way back to Dresden the next day, so an 500km trip just took us 3.5 hours including road construction only allow us to go for 100km/h. Ave speed around 160 to 180 km/h.

Amazing, it's once a life time chance.

Go Karting In GermanyBe have an official outing with our mentors (Teachers) before we go back to Malaysia. So it was organized by my company for a Go Karting Session. So while waiting for briefing, we took our time at the lobby. This a mini bike.

So the instructor is ready. The first lesson on Go Karting. Left foot is brake & right foot is gas paddle. Do not touch any where else in the vehicle cause they are really hot. The car has side bumper, so anybody hitting other ppl on purpose will be disqualified.

So now we start to do our practice for 15 minutes with the track twice. The we went on the qualifying round. Was my first time with go kart. So get to learn my first lesson. There are 2 groups among us. The first 7 best drivers with best lap will be qualify for first race and & & worse will have second race.

So guess where I qaulified? I was the 2 fastest and qualify for 1 race. But too bad, I did finish the race as I went into too many crashes.

Me, My Mentor Udo & Sim. After the rest is really tired. Lesson learn, never push too hard for the practive laps. Reserve some energy for the race.
