Fried Belacan Chicken

I never try this at home actually. But is one of my favourite now.
I bought "Bamboo Belacan Chicken Powder" home to Kuching.
If you happened to see this. Give a try.

It sounds weird but it's yummy.

Ingredients:


600g chicken,


chopped into bite-sized piecesMarinade


1/2 tsp light soya sauce


1/2 tsp sesame oil


1 tsp sugar1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee shrimp pasteBatter


3/4 cup plain flour1 tbsp rice flour


1/4 tsp pepper1 tsp baking powder


1 cup water or just enough


1 tbsp oil





Method:
1)Season chicken with marinade and leave to marinate for several hours.
2)Combine flour, rice flour, baking powder, pepper and water.
3)Mix into a batter. Add in oil and mix.
4)Coat marinated chicken in batter and deep-fry in hot oil until crispy and golden brown.

Serve immediately.

Poo poo.. while Eat, or Eat while Poo poo.. I really can't understand nowadays people want to put toilet bowl as the theme of the restaurant. For me I don't even want to touch the newspaper somebody bring out from washroom.

Durian Also Can be Pirated The Name

I've something to share. When this photo is taken, I was still enjoying durian. Today, my colleague told me the current durian selling by the road are not originally from Penang. They are from Pahang. Same thing, the durians has name imitating those in Penang like 'Ang Hei' Red Shrimp, 101, Susu & etc.

So I would temporary banned this imitation for awhile.

Hello guys, I will be away for company's team building program until Monday. You know those brain washing stuff. Like carrying a stupid piece of wood across the river together & things like holding your colleagues falling.

This place also famous of Salted Chicken (Yim Kuk Kai). Kuk Kuk Kai haha.
It's so easy to look for food in Ipoh town. Jalan jalan got one shop to eat.

See the chicken are all wrap in paper & the boxes wow. That's the demand of today. U know this shop showing at the notice business start at 10am until finish.

Hehe, it shows I am not really a professional blogger. Only will remember to take picture after eating. We bought 1 chicken for 3 of us. I guess we need 2 next time.

Ipoh Soya Bean & Tou Fu fa

There is one corner in the town, if you have no idea, just ask where is the 'tou fu fa' green shop. Even the outsider will point you to the place. I met a Penang family always doing the same thing like us. Looking for food. They show me this place. I didn't get at the first place, but after having 'ho fan' just take a walk around town, I finally found the green shop.
See even u can ta pau for 1.5liter size.

Now you might not see the differences. It is actually black bean soya vs normal soya. The feeling that I get is abit like Kuching. This town not too hurry on Sunday or public holiday.

Ipoh Cave Temple.

Not long ago before Chinese New Year 2008, TVB stars visited a tiny place in Penang called Perai.


For your information Perai is not part of Penang Island. It's at the mainland of West Malaysia. Living standard still relatively low compare to Penang. Majority ethnic groups of India & Malay. But since Penang is most a Chinese place, these TV drama series stars still get amazing response from local fans with short pants & sandles. Kampung style.

Unfortunately, you might not see who were they. My camera technic still far from good. Ok, the guy is call "Chin Man" from one of the drama. That was what I hear from MC's introduction. I have no idea. But I knew this guy from the pop group with Chan Siu Chun long long time ago. If you remember they called Wind, Fire & Sea.

Cut it short, the girl for me is called 'Peng Yi'. Simple, I just finished a recent Canto drama dealing with car manufacturing business. Her character was the secretary of the young chap call 'Chan Pong' or i will rather call him Oscar. Also, can't really recall how does he got this name from me.

That shows me I am not really into drama. : P

How should I start for my blog this time? I am at Penang airport waiting for my flight departure at 5:40pm.
