Honda’s first passenger production car, the S500 open two-seater sportscar, was first announced in the 1962 Tokyo Motor Show, going on sale the following year. After the production termination of its successor, the S800, Honda moved away from producing front-engine/rear-wheel drive sports cars.

The position of the engine is also ideal, sitting just behind the front wheel axle in interest of 50/50 weight distribution. The study body and superior road handling, meshed with a four-wheel double wishbone suspension and a newly developed 6-speed manual transmission, offer high tractability and synthesis between car and driver. The inside of the cabin features bucket seats, state of art digital indicators, and a read bag, and all the other safety features of modern sports cars have also been thoroughly considered. Developed in celebration of Honda’s 50th anniversary, the S2000 will surely take its place as the 2000cc sports car to beat in the 21st century.

For the last few days back, it was one of test of growing up. My mum suffered chest discomfort for already 2 months. I begin to realize again mother’s love. You see being a mother not just worrying about us, whether we have enough milk until if we get a good job or wife, she refused to let us worry about her.
I am the person who know best of her situation for the last few days. Starting from last Friday 21 Oct 2005. She was scheduled to meet Dr Au Yong again before she makes her yearly trip to my sister’s place. From that moment, I knew she was hiding a lot about her health conditions from us. She was experiencing chest discomfort for almost 2 months that never tell us what was going wrong and how tired she would want to do her evening exercise.
So Dr. Au Yong recommended her to do a scan (Endoscopy Check) if her heart blood vessels are ok. If the outcome is bad, we would all have to stay back if any operations is needed. I believe this is a part of growing up process.
She went to the scan yesterday, 27 Oct 2005 1230 hrs. Our family was feeling so down that phones keep ringing. My brother in KL and eldest Sister from HK were kept informed. I began to realize one more thing again. It looks like everything I saw has not much beauty except time. Money can be earn back after we lost them. But not time. We can't earn back time. We can't borrow time from others. We can't turned back the time.
The results came out around 1300 hrs. Dr Au Yong told my mum that she lives until 100 years old. She heart is pretty normal but that’s has be something that we should be aware of in the future. Oily food especially ‘Laksa’ need to be avoided. So reminder to my both sisters not being extreme to Laksa.
For such an experience, I created a special bone with my mum. She gave a very special signal of approval of something. I can’t tell you all now coz this is in the web. But it is something really good.

So last night, I started this new project. This Honda S2000 is painted in blue. I started the installation from the vehicle under carriage. It was working perfectly well. Previously, when I first started to take up this hobby, my time spent for same kind of complexity (Evo 6) took me interval relaxing few days to complete. This time, it only lasted for 2 hours. I think building Hobby Model is a skills and precisions. I work with precision tools. So sometimes I am required to adjust a difference of less than 1 degrees of angle or few mm of distant. Other than this it also trains our patience and mind. Mostly it's a time killer (since my gal 'bo chap' me last night hehe).
This little S2000 Project has nothing being away from our daily life practice. Although I am doing this out of my working hours. I will still like to put in "Problem Solving Map"
1. Define the Problem :
Normally defining the problem has be really specific and simple.
My Brother's Birthday Present 2005. He introduced me Honda S2000 as his favourite selection from the Play Station 2 GT Racing. So this year I am making his dream come true. He will own this car but at a scale of 1:24. First thing I need to find out from my client (Brother) is to define what he wants from this Hobby Model. Thourgh some series of questions, I am able to find out what he wanted this S2000 to be.
a. Body Color : Blue (shown in above photo)
b. Open top : so that I have to work on the car interior
c. Silver or Chrome rims
So these are the basic requirements from my client that is expecting us to deliver.
2. Data Collection :
In the process of data collection, we have a chance to understand what is our client requirement and further giving us clues to help us to identify the problem.
So I went to collect pictures and photos of Honda S2000. Study the appearance and interior of the car. Look for the history, standard manufacturer accesories, colors available, interior leather material, disc brake specs and etc. The reason for doing so is to build it more realistic to reality. I don't want to come out with a mix and match that doesn't similar the originality.

Data Collection Findings :
a. Body Color: Blue ( yes)
b. Open top : Red leather interior available
c. Silver o Chrome rims : yes
So fundamentally, my data collection helps me to provide Pre View of my project. I guess my client is veteran for this car. I need to live up with his expectation now.
3. Identify The Problem
The process of identify the problem is critical. We think of what is resistance and limitation to get to the point where our client expecting us.
So it started with my colors. I don't have many colors available. For each Hobby Model you buy, the instruction recommended different colors specifically. So it will be waste of $$ to stock up full set out color just to put up a single Hobby Model. As you can see from my previous blog, I have Military Vehilcle, Isuzu Vehicross and Lancer Evo 6 (not published). They are all having different body colours. So this time round, judging my client expectation Body Color need to be Blue. I bought in just BLUE and reuse all the remaining colors I have.
Selecting the materials when building a project can be really cost saving if we reuse again what we invest previous and bring out the best of it.
Take my statement :
We don't get whole new set of pencils each time we sit for exam.
Another limitation I am facing is I have difficulty to paint a very small and detail area due to the tools capability. So I ignore them. It will end up looking better.
Last but not least. I make full use of my freshness. When I started this project begining of the day, I worked the fine details first and leave the rough job when almost time I go to bed. Previously, my work flow following the instuction doesn't work out for me. You see procedures and actual work is so much different. Last time I used to put in so much effort on rough work when I am still fresh. But almost the end of the night, my fatigue just doesn't allow me to work on the details.
Coming Up Next ... Propose ACTIONS!

Hi guys, sorry for being away for few days. I was on my short Vacation. Practically still at my home town but my mind has wondered far. So first, it was cool we spent most of the day to look for something common on the road. Cars! The first one we visited was Mitsubishi Showroom newly opened by EON. Since, Mitsubishi sold it's shares back to Proton, previous Mitsubishi cars sales was controlled by Proton to avoid competition, the company now is alright to sell their throughout Malaysia.
So the first car is Mitsubishi Lancer. 1.6 liter engine SOHC. The engine is the same like the one installed in Proton Waja. Overall, the car design is about average for a compact sedan. Material and finishing, well.. not really my preference. Still can have the feel of Proton Wira materials.
The we headed to used imports dealer to catch a glimpse. Then we get to know a guy called Kevin to introduce us Toyota Altezza. The car is bit old. Used car mar. But with very solid and heavy duty power train. Beams Dual VVTI manufactured by Yamaha. Well maybe it's not your first time to find out that high performance engines from Toyota was sub to Yamaha. Very cool, delivering 200 hp. Steptronic function control from the steering weel. 4 speed auto and semi auto. 18 inch wheel comes in standard. Suspension was turned for comfort ride.

My Home
I won't be happier without these kids hanging around me. This a photo taken few years back when our house was preparing for a birthday party for Vanessa and Vivian. The one in white shirt is Vanessa. Vivian is the elder sister which is not shown in this photo. So you see another girl in this photo? Big head. She is Christine, my niece from my second elder sister.
